Matthew Powell is an experienced leader with a strong background in economic development, communications, and municipal matters. He served as a Councilmember and then as Mayor of Cedar Park, Texas for 13 years during the city’s largest period of growth, guiding the city toward stronger development that best benefited the community. During his time as Economic Development Director of Liberty Hill, Texas, that city had the largest increase in sales tax collections of any city in Texas. Matthew now owns and operates Powell Strategic, a boutique consulting firm focused on public relations and community and economic development.
